Anthony Peres works as a commercial photographer in Los Angeles specializing in architectural photography. His photographs appear in books, magazines and private collections. Throughout his career he has followed a strong desire to work in cultural preservation and has been involved with the photography of architecture and design assignments.

After completing his Bachelor degree at the University of California, Santa Barbara, Anthony worked as Senior Photographer for the Materials Department, College of Engineering, UCSB. An accomplished digital photographer as well as an accomplished gelatin silver printer, Peres had recognized the utility of high definition digital scanning and imaging technologies beginning in 1992.  His digital “Giçlè prints are utterly faithful reproductions of his original hand-painted images. The ability to utilize beautiful handmade Arches drawing paper advances his original vision of reproducing hand-painted images with the help of archival printing technologies. 

 Anthony had become associated with J. Paul Getty Museum’s Paintings Conservation and Paintings Curatorial Departments’ collections, expertly documenting the collections and conservation efforts within the Museum. Peres’ work at the museum included photographing other collection works such as antiquities and decorative arts, but had specialized on conservation photography utilizing UV and Infrared imaging techniques. Peres had been hired at Getty to assist in developing a transition to a complete digital capture workflow. 

 After the Getty Museum, Anthony operates an architectural photography business, serving clients in the architectural and interior design fields. He also works on specialized projects in architectural and archaeological preservation. His clients have included Architectural Digest, Interiors, Harry Abrams, Rizolli International, Museum of Modern Art, N.Y., Joel Silver, Warner Bros. Studios, Gale Anne Hurd, Paramount Studios and the late Peter Falk at Universal Studios.
